Beva is Retiring!

Another One Bites the Dust! This time it’s in the (Systems) Technology Bureau!! After 35 years of Service Beva Dejesus has decided to “Hang up her Technology tools” for “Travelling Shoes” and now she is Retiring! Beva’s last day is Tuesday, November 29, 2016! In November 1981 Beva started at the World Trade Center, in Consumer Services as a data entry clerk, she answered phones, took messages, distributed mail, filed complaints, photo copies, etc. One day, Beva said, to herself, I would like to check out the “Systems Technology Bureau.” So she went for the interview and got the job, and left Consumer Services. Once Beva, went into the Technology Bureau she never left, she’s been in the Technology Bureau since 1986. Beva, loved the challenges of the Technology Bureau because she replaced hard drives, PC’s laptops, and she was a back-up for computer operations.

Then Beva did video sound checks for all conference rooms, set up video conference meetings, did troubleshooting, handled printer issues, and fixed paper jams (Thank God” for little Tweezers!). And much, much more.

Beva, is retiring for two reasons: The first is it was time and she is ready to move onto the next chapter in her life! The second reason is that Beva, wants to check out the 20 Cooking Channels and take cooking classes!!!

To commemorate Beva. Please join us in a celebration luncheon to be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the 6th floor Hearing Room Conference Room 6-0001 @12:00pm (noon). The cuisine will be catered by Sale-n-Pepe.
