Abe Robles Says FAREWELL

Most everyone at the NYSID/DFS's New York City office knew the mailroom's Abe Robles. To some, Abe seemed a bit of a curmudgeon, but underneath he had a heart of gold.

After more than four decades, Abe finally decided to pack it in just prior to the close of 2015.
Here, in his own words, is Abe's farewell message to his many friends and co-workers:

After 40 years, 2 months and 24 days of service, I am retiring from the workforce. It has been, by the most part a wonderful 40 years. I made some very good friendships over that period of time and that is the part that saddens me in leaving, but the time has come to start a new chapter in my life.

I wish you all the very best from the bottom of my heart and I will keep in touch with some of you via e-mail.

Like the old cowboy in the movies, I will now get on my old horse and ride into the sunset.

I don’t like to say goodbye, I will say instead FAREWELL!

Farewell my friends!!
Love you all!!

May the force be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bye!
Abe Robles
